October 17-19
Staway
Ranch
- Murchison, TXMembers and guests gathered at Staway Ranch as early as Monday for a week of games, food and seeing our WIT friends again. Pre-rally tours were to the Arboretum & Botanical Gardens in Athens on Wednesday. Thursday we toured the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens, after lunch at the Marina Restaurant several of us toured the Henderson County Historical Museum.
Thursday evening begin with another great "pot luck" dinner, followed up with ten rounds of card bingo put on by the Heart of Texas Chapter.Rally activities and contests included the annual craft contest, a pumpkin carving or decorating contest. The fishing tournament was canceled due to weeds and weather, however Jackie Sadler proved that he could catch a bass in any conditions. Friday and Saturday were busy with two days of games, food and fun by all.
Parade Of Costumes
Bonnie & Clyde (Clarence & Martha)

The
Friday night's parade of costumes was probably the most fun you can
have with your clothes on and not go to jail. Participation was great
in both the single and couples class. Above are Bonnie & Clyde
better known as the "Callaway Gang" who were our first place winners in
the
couples entry, great job Clarence & Martha.
Obama (Sonny K.) was our winner in the single entry. Judges were asked to select a winner based on part on originality. Sonny carried a plumbers friend with "Joe" on it, nice job!.
