Pre-meeting Activity

Angel Hernandez seemed possessed with
cleanliness as he meticulously washed the car and the
entire motor home. When approached about
the time consuming task, he replied, “I’m
retired, I have plenty of time.” Everything
sure sparkled around his site.

Cookie Man Glenn

Somewhere in the distant past, it was determined
that we Texans could not survive a full day of
“fun” at our meetings/rallies without some
sugary sustenance. Glenn Riedel demonstrates
the proper feeding of a hungry attendee during
a break.

Whose Hat is Dat?

There’s no way you could look
at this fellow and not smile.
Ted Kerr and his “flower” were
everywhere and brightened up
the gathering.

Craft Winner

Our Craft Winners

Marjorie Holder won the Blue Ribbon at our
Arts & Crafts Show with her entry titled
“Love Ever True”. It was a very intricate
needlework piece. Mary Munro was 1^st runner up
with her petite bead bracelet. Shirley Christilles
was 2^nd runner up with her entry of a Chinese Red
Sweatshirt jacket. All of the entries were Wonderful.

Play Nice Ladies...

Joan Phillips appears to be taking a swat

However, everyone was still smiling so
we can assume it was done in fun.

We had so much fun with the sing-a-long,
and we discovered a lot of hidden talent in our chapters as they were
in our chapters as they were urged to
“get up there and sing”. Mary Crone
sang right into the microphone and
sounded great.

could have heard them.

Hat contest winners Hats Galore

Check out these chapeaus, aren’t they something.
We had a veritable plethora of floral arrangements
sprouting out of people’s heads (actually they
were growing out of the hats). Shown here are winners

Gail Miller Tickle Those Ivories

Gail Miller provided background music
for our enjoyment. She is so talented and
it made such a difference to the ambiance
as we played games, chatted, and just hung out.

Pancake breakfast Bring On Breakfast
Surprise, look who’s serving up the break-
fast vittles! Pam delivering the sausages
to a "hungry man" while Red Beers, Larry
and Sharyn Miller toil over the pancakes.
The pancakes were dinner plate size and

(they tasted pretty good too).

Mighty Bill Thatcher

Bill Thatcher wins the money hat and when asked

said.. no, he would not share with us all. (Hey,

it was worth a try). Sure looks fine on him!

Bean bag baseball

One of our favorite tournaments, and physically
demanding sports, is beanbag baseball.
The winners of April’s tournament were the
River Rats (remember we’re parked on the
Guadalupe River). They are Bill Roberts,
Trish Morris, Gail Miller, Dick McCree,
Bill Thatcher, Lloyd Munro, Diana Kimble,
And Nancy Morrow.

Announcing the tournament winners, aren't they a happy crew?! Competition is good for all of us (even better when we win).

Dominoes is Tough

These guys are really serious about the game, can't you see it in their expressions. Here again, it is good to use the grey matter from time to time and this is a fun way to do it.
