Grand National Rally 2011

On The Square

What Is GNR

Is GNR a gathering of 1100 Motorhomes, entertainment
under the big tent or at the amphitheater, the vendors
in Friendship Hall, tours to John Deere, the ball game
in St. Paul, a theme where we dress up........

No......

Grand National Rally is the PEOPLE
Over 2200 of us who gather to re-unite with friends, the hundreds of volunteers
who make GNR possible, a time to let our hair hang down and have a good time.

This brief web page is sample of our Texas members and friends, the many
Texas volunteers who did their part.

Kathie & MikeA Front Gate WelcomeIt all starts at the front gate where you receive your packet, checking in before being directed to your parker who assists in parking your home on wheels in the designated area. At left are Kathie & Mike who are working the gate for the fifth year. Kathie is shown with Doug Formanek and Pat's Mother Ruby who bakes treats for us at the gate. We enjoy greeting everyone when they arrive.

Parkers & FriendsOur very own Section A parkers Brenda & Gary were first time parkers shown here with friends Mike & Celia. We thank them for parking many "Texas Row" coaches, great job. Celia was selected to be a WOW (Women on Wheels) instructor who worked with Stephanie Mosley teaching those taking the driving class.

First TimersWelcome First Timers
Wow, a great group of first timers who joined us for social hour under the Texas tent. This is always a great opportunity to make new friends.  It's  so fun for the rest of us to hear their experiences at the end of the day.

GrandkidsGrandkids Love GNR
Bring the Grandkids to GNR where they have a great program for youth ages 8 to 17. Texas W Club is pleased to donate hundreds of dollars each year to the Youth Program, we thank our members for their support.  Shown here are John D. & Mimi's two grandchildren and Alan and Alice's grandson with trophies they won.

Ben & PatCongratulations
We want to recognize Ben & Pat Crabtree who joined the International Association of Local Chapter Presidents where there is always a need to serve. Ben & Pat were elected Treasurer of this special interest club.
